Casa Livezilor is a place where adults with disabilities receive support to lead a life as close as possible to that of anyone else in the community. More than just a home, Casa Livezilor is a space of belonging, personal development, and building a life based on respect, dignity, and active participation.

We aim to offer each beneficiary the opportunity to develop their autonomy, make choices, assume responsibilities, and participate in daily activities in the most independent way possible. We believe that each person has their own pace of development and their own resources, and our role is to encourage and support this process.

The home offers a warm, family-like, and safe environment, being arranged to meet the needs of the beneficiaries and create favorable conditions for an active and comfortable life. The house has nine rooms, two spacious living rooms, three bathrooms, two kitchens, generous hallways, a laundry room, a gym, and a terrace. Beneficiaries also have at their disposal a generous outdoor space, which offers the possibility of conducting recreational activities, socializing, and spending free time in the open air.

Daily life at Casa Livezilor is organized around activities that contribute to the development and maintenance of the skills required for an independent life. Beneficiaries are encouraged to actively participate in household activities and the organization of daily life, depending on the possibilities, interests, and objectives of each individual.

A major emphasis is placed on developing personal hygiene and self-care skills. Beneficiaries are supported to form and consolidate daily routines related to body hygiene, clothing care, organizing personal items, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. These activities contribute to increasing the degree of autonomy and developing confidence in one’s own capabilities.

Additionally, beneficiaries participate in activities to maintain cleanliness and order in their personal rooms and common spaces. Arranging the room, changing the bed linen, sorting and organizing items, participating in cleaning activities, and caring for shared spaces represent important learning and accountability opportunities.

An important component of life within Casa Livezilor is the development of household skills. Beneficiaries are involved in preparing food, setting the table, washing and putting away dishes, as well as other activities necessary for running a household. These experiences contribute to the development of practical skills and increase the feeling of usefulness and belonging.

To maintain health and an active lifestyle, beneficiaries have the opportunity to participate in movement activities and physical exercises held in the gym or outdoors. These activities contribute to motor development, health improvement, and increased energy and good mood.

Free time also occupies an important place in the life of the community. Beneficiaries participate in recreational and socialization activities adapted to their interests and preferences: games, music, dance, creative and artistic activities, watching movies, celebrating birthdays and special events, as well as various activities carried out in the community.

Outings in the city, walks, shopping, participating in cultural and religious events, excursions, and meetings with community members contribute to the development of social relations and consolidation of the feeling of belonging. These experiences offer beneficiaries the opportunity to practice practical and social skills in real-life contexts.

At Casa Livezilor, every person is viewed first and foremost as a human being with resources, potential, and the right to build their own path. Through the activities carried out daily and through relationships based on respect, trust, and acceptance, we want to create an environment where beneficiaries feel safe, valued, and supported to live a life as independent and fulfilled as possible.
