At the Pantelimon Friendship Day Center, each day begins in a special way, with the traditional Morning Circle, held in the spirit of Waldorf pedagogy. This moment represents a community meeting and preparation for the day’s activities. Beneficiaries participate in gymnastics and movement exercises, sing together, discuss the weather, season and important events of the day, say a saying and light a candle, all of which provide a framework of tranquility, orientation and belonging.

Throughout the day, beneficiaries participate in psychological or social counseling sessions, designed to support personal development, autonomy and social integration. The activities are adapted to the needs and potential of each person and aim to develop the skills necessary for a more independent life.

Occupational therapy occupies an important place in the center’s program and is carried out within the three workshops. Here, beneficiaries work on embroidery, make bracelets and other decorative objects by stringing beads, prepare tea and spice blends from aromatic plants, and participate in various practical activities that develop patience, attention, skill, and confidence in their own abilities.

The program also includes empowerment and personal development activities, dance and music therapy, cognitive and motor development activities, relaxation and meditation exercises, as well as numerous recreational activities that bring joy and contribute to the well-being of the beneficiaries.

Community integration activities play an essential role. Beneficiaries participate in walks and outings in the community, visits to the doctor, to church, to the park or shopping, as well as in various visits and events organized together with the association’s partners and friends. Special excursions and activities are also organized that provide opportunities for socializing and discovering the world around them.

Daily life at the Prietenia Pantelimon Day Care Center also includes household activities, gardening and animal care, through which the beneficiaries develop a sense of responsibility and belonging to the community. Preparing lunch is another important moment of the day. The meal is served in a family setting, so that together, the beneficiaries and the employees enjoy a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reflects the values ​​of respect, solidarity and community promoted by the Prietenia Association.

The Friendship Day Center is more than a social service. It is a place where each person is encouraged to discover their resources, develop their skills and actively participate in the life of the community.
